Zeit AI Raises €5M for Data Engineering
Zeit AI raised €5M to build an autonomous data-engineering agent for mid-market companies.

A lot of companies do not have an AI problem first. They have a messy data problem.
What happened
Munich-based Zeit AI raised €5M to build an autonomous data-engineering agent for mid-market companies. Its product, ZeitMind, connects systems such as ERP and CRM tools, cleans fragmented information and helps create analytics-ready applications.
The company says its system works across more than 600 source systems, targeting businesses that need better data infrastructure but may not have large internal engineering teams.
Why it matters
AI agents are only as good as the context they can access. Many companies still have customer, finance, operations and product data trapped in separate tools. That limits what dashboards, copilots and decision-support systems can actually do.
Zeit is targeting the plumbing layer beneath enterprise AI: data integration, cleaning and transformation. It is less glamorous than a chatbot, but it may be more important for making AI reliable in real business workflows.
The bigger picture
The enterprise AI market is shifting from interfaces to infrastructure. Companies need agents that can act on trusted information, not just generate polished summaries. Data-engineering automation is becoming part of that foundation.
