XRlabs raises €7.48M for surgical intelligence
XRlabs has raised €7.48 million to develop AI software that combines imaging and surgical data into real-time, anatomy-aware guidance.

What happened
XRlabs has raised €7.48 million in seed funding led by Playground Global, with participation from Eka Ventures.
Its software combines surgical video, navigation data and pre-operative medical imaging to create patient-specific planning tools and real-time, anatomy-aware views during procedures.
Why it matters
The platform is designed as an external intelligence layer that can work across equipment hospitals already own. That could reduce the need for providers to adopt an entirely new proprietary surgical system.
The bigger picture
Surgical AI is moving from retrospective video analysis toward tools that assist planning and decision-making during live procedures. Regulatory approval and clinical evidence will remain central to adoption.
