XDOF Eyes $1.2B Robotics Data Valuation
XDOF is reportedly in talks to raise at a $1.2B valuation for robotics training data.

Physical AI is creating demand for a new kind of data supply chain: real-world action data for robots.
What happened
XDOF is reportedly in late-stage talks to raise a Series B at about a $1.2B valuation, led by 8VC. The robotics-data startup emerged from stealth only three months ago.
The company collects real-world teleoperation data for training general-purpose robots and is reportedly working with around 20 customers, including frontier AI labs.
Why it matters
Robotics companies need more than models and hardware. They need examples of real physical actions, failures, corrections and edge cases to train systems that can operate outside simulation.
That makes robotics data a potentially valuable infrastructure layer, similar to how labelled web and code data became critical for earlier AI systems.
The bigger picture
The physical-AI market may produce several hidden winners: data providers, simulation platforms, teleoperation networks and evaluation systems. XDOF’s reported valuation shows how quickly investors are pricing the data layer of robotics.
