Waymo brings robotaxi rides to Las Vegas airport
Waymo begins limited robotaxi pickups and drop-offs at dedicated zones in both Las Vegas airport terminals.

What happened
Waymo began offering limited rides to and from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Pickups and drop-offs use dedicated autonomous-vehicle zones at Terminals 1 and 3. The service is initially available to a small number of riders before a planned wider rollout.
Why it matters
Airports are valuable transport hubs but present operational challenges including dense traffic, designated access points and passengers carrying luggage. Serving a major airport extends Waymo's Las Vegas network beyond ordinary city trips and tests whether its robotaxi operation can handle a high-demand, time-sensitive destination.
The bigger picture
Las Vegas is becoming a competitive market for autonomous transport. Zoox already serves the airport, while state approvals are opening the door to additional robotaxi fleets. Waymo says this is the sixth major airport it serves. Service availability, reliability at peak periods and expansion beyond the initial rider group will indicate how quickly airport operations can become a routine part of commercial robotaxi networks.
