VitVio Brings AI Operating Rooms to Poland

VitVio has partnered with University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk to deploy an AI-powered operating-room management system in Poland.

What happened

The company's Vetro platform uses computer vision, ambient sensing and software agents to create a real-time representation of activity inside surgical rooms. It is designed to record surgical milestones automatically, identify delays and provide coordinators with information about room status and workflow. VitVio says it already has deployments in the US, UK, Mexico and other European markets and has raised $10 million in total funding. The Polish partnership is a deployment milestone rather than a new financing event.

Why it matters

Operating rooms are among the most expensive resources in a hospital, and delays caused by documentation, equipment or coordination can materially reduce utilisation. Automating visibility into these workflows could help hospitals improve scheduling and reduce administrative burden without asking AI to make clinical decisions.

The bigger picture

Healthcare AI is increasingly moving into operational infrastructure where benefits can be measured through time and utilisation. VitVio's long-term credibility will depend on data privacy, workflow integration and independently demonstrated efficiency gains.
