VitalFluid Raises €17.2M for Crop Protection

What happened

Eindhoven-based VitalFluid raised €17.2M to scale plasma-activated water technology for crop protection. The round was co-led by Invest-NL and Alder Tree Investments, with participation from existing shareholders and other investors.

Why it matters

VitalFluid’s approach uses plasma-activated water as a pesticide-free crop-protection tool. If it scales, it could help farmers reduce chemical fungicide use while still protecting yield.

That puts the company at the intersection of agtech, climate resilience and sustainable inputs.

The bigger picture

Food and agriculture innovation is moving beyond software into hardware-enabled climate tools. Crop protection, water use and soil health are all becoming investable infrastructure problems.
