Viabot Raises $24M for Outdoor Robots
Viabot has raised a $24 million Series A to expand autonomous robots for outdoor commercial-property maintenance.

Viabot has raised a $24 million Series A as commercial robotics continues moving into repetitive, labour-intensive outdoor work.
What happened
The round was led by Walden International and brings total funding to $43 million.
Viabot builds autonomous robots that perform tasks such as sweeping, debris removal and property monitoring. The company sells the systems through a robotics-as-a-service model rather than relying only on one-off hardware sales.
The platform already operates across a large commercial-property footprint and has accumulated extensive real-world training data.
Why it matters
Robotics adoption may scale first through unglamorous but repeatable jobs where labour is expensive and environments are relatively structured.
The service model is also important. Recurring contracts can make robotics economics look more like enterprise software while allowing customers to adopt automation without a large upfront hardware purchase.
The bigger picture
The robotics market is broadening beyond humanoids and warehouse automation. Outdoor maintenance, inspection and property operations represent large categories where autonomy can be deployed incrementally. Viabot's round shows investors are willing to back specialised robots when there is a clear operating use case and recurring revenue model.
