Vensum Power raises €9m to scale its power converters
The Finnish company's Series A supports manufacturing of software-controlled power conversion hardware.

Power electronics rarely gets the spotlight, but its losses show up on the electricity bill.
What happened
Finland's Vensum Power announced a €9 million Series A on 6 November, with backing from Lifeline Ventures, Larsen & Toubro and Eviny Ventures. The company is developing software-controlled power conversion and plans to reach volume production in 2027.
Why it matters
Electric vehicle charging, storage systems and microgrids all need to convert electricity between different forms or voltages. Reducing losses in that process could improve efficiency without changing the entire system around it.
The bigger picture
The immediate challenge is moving from development into repeatable manufacturing. AI data centres are a potential later application, rather than proof of an established customer business today. Descriptions such as 'near-lossless' are company claims and should be judged through measured performance under real operating conditions.
