Ultrahuman Raises $70M for Smart Rings

Wearables are moving from passive trackers toward smaller, more capable computers for health and context-aware software.

What happened

Ultrahuman raised $70M, including backing from Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners and Alteria Capital. The round includes $65M of primary equity and $5M of debt, valuing the company at about $365M.

The company is working on more powerful smart-ring hardware and deeper on-device capabilities.

Why it matters

Smart rings are becoming one of the most competitive consumer health categories. The form factor is smaller than a watch, but it can collect continuous health and activity signals.

The next step is making these devices more useful without forcing every interaction through a phone or cloud service. More processing on-device could support better privacy, battery life and real-time health feedback.

The bigger picture

Consumer AI hardware does not have to look like a new gadget category from scratch. It may emerge through existing wearables that already sit on the body, collect signals and can gradually become more intelligent over time.
