Uber reports very limited bookings through AI agents
Consumer agents can place orders. Uber's latest figures show how rarely that happened on its services.

Consumer agents can place orders. Uber's latest figures show how rarely that happened on its services.
What happened
On its 4 November earnings call, Uber said AI agents booked four rides and 500 Uber Eats orders during Halloween week. It handled approximately 320 million combined trips and orders during the same period.
These are company-reported figures. The combined total must not be presented as 320 million ride bookings alone.
Why it matters
The numbers provide a concrete adoption check against enthusiasm for agentic commerce. When a familiar app already makes a task quick, an agent needs to offer enough extra value for customers to change how they use the service.
The bigger picture
This is evidence about Uber's services during one period, not a measure of the whole consumer-agent market. It does not establish that agents lack a market, but it does show why available functionality and actual transaction volume need to be assessed separately.
