TRIMTECH extends seed round to €41M
TRIMTECH Therapeutics raised an additional €12M, bringing its seed round to €41M for neurodegeneration therapies.

Neurodegeneration remains one of the hardest frontiers in medicine. TRIMTECH’s expanded seed round shows continued investor interest in platform approaches that target disease biology more directly.
What happened
Cambridge-based TRIMTECH Therapeutics raised an additional €12M in seed funding, bringing the total round to €41M.
The extension was led by Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC and BGF. TRIMTECH is developing small-molecule therapies that target and degrade protein aggregates linked to neurodegenerative diseases.
Why it matters
This is a strong biotech platform signal.
Protein aggregation is central to several neurodegenerative conditions, but effective therapies remain limited. TRIMTECH’s approach sits in the protein-degradation space, which continues to attract scientific and investor attention.
The bigger picture
Biotech funding is still flowing into difficult disease areas when the platform thesis is strong. The challenge is turning promising mechanism-level science into clinical evidence.
