Terasi Raises €11M for Defence Communications
Terasi has raised an €11 million seed round, co-led by the NATO Innovation Fund, to scale high-frequency wireless communications hardware.

Terasi has raised €11 million to scale communications hardware for environments where conventional fibre or fixed network infrastructure may not be available.
What happened
The Swedish startup closed an €11 million seed round, co-led by the NATO Innovation Fund and Join Capital, with participation from In-Q-Tel, D3 and existing investors.
The KTH spinout develops compact, high-frequency wireless systems designed to move large amounts of data without relying on fixed towers or fibre connections.
Terasi plans to use the funding to expand deployments with European defence customers and develop additional products.
Why it matters
Modern defence systems increasingly depend on moving large volumes of sensor and operational data between distributed platforms.
That makes communications infrastructure strategically important alongside drones, autonomy and sensing hardware.
High-capacity wireless links can be particularly useful where fixed infrastructure is unavailable, damaged or impractical to deploy.
The bigger picture
European defence investment is moving beyond visible platforms into the enabling infrastructure that connects them. Communications, networking and data systems are becoming core defence-tech categories because autonomous and software-defined systems are only useful if they can exchange information reliably. Terasi's NATO-backed round reflects that broader shift toward strategic infrastructure rather than standalone hardware.
