TEKEVER Raises $580M for Defence Autonomy
TEKEVER has raised $580M at a $6.4B valuation as European defence technology moves into larger growth-stage rounds.

TEKEVER has raised one of Europe’s largest recent defence-tech rounds as autonomous systems attract deeper pools of growth capital.
What happened
The Portuguese-founded company announced the first close of a $580M Series D at a $6.4B valuation.
TEKEVER builds autonomous systems combining drones, sensors, communications, AI and ground-control software. The raise follows its selection for a major British Army surveillance programme.
Why it matters
European defence startups have historically faced a scale-up funding gap after early-stage validation. Large rounds like this suggest investors are becoming more comfortable financing companies with long procurement cycles, hardware requirements and government customers.
TEKEVER’s integrated model also gives it exposure to multiple layers of the autonomous-systems stack rather than a single product.
The bigger picture
European defence technology is moving from niche venture category toward a more institutional growth market. The companies attracting the most capital are increasingly those that combine software, autonomy and manufacturing with clear procurement pathways.
