Existing camera networks offer a route for bringing visual AI into physical businesses.
What happened
Solink announced more than $100 million in financing led by Vertu Capital. Participants include Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Golub Growth and Comcast Ventures. Its platform combines camera footage with operational data for security, loss prevention and business operations.
Why it matters
Using installed cameras can reduce the need for customers to replace physical infrastructure. The business case depends on whether the resulting insights improve decisions or deliver measurable savings.
The bigger picture
Visual AI is expanding beyond surveillance into operational software. Connecting observations to useful workflows may matter more commercially than generating additional alerts.
