Soctera, an Ithaca, New York maker of wireless signal amplifiers, raised $4M in seed funding from Anorak Ventures, Multiball Capital, 9Yards Capital, Mana Ventures and Red Bear Ventures.
The round is small, but the company operates in a hardware layer that matters for connectivity, edge environments and physical deployment.
Why it matters
This is a deeptech infrastructure signal. Wireless performance becomes more important as AI, robotics, industrial automation and connected devices spread beyond controlled office and cloud environments.
If more intelligent systems move into factories, farms, logistics networks and public infrastructure, signal quality and reliable connectivity become practical bottlenecks.
