SnerpaPower is a smaller funding story, but it sits inside a much larger theme: industrial energy users need smarter software as electricity becomes more volatile and strategically important.

What happened

Reykjavik-based SnerpaPower secured €3.4M to expand its AI-powered energy-management software for power-intensive industries.

The financing includes a €3M seed investment led by Encevo and a €0.4M grant from the Icelandic Technology Development Fund. The company builds software for heavy electricity users, including industrial sites, data centres and power-to-X facilities.

These customers do not just need cheaper power. They need to understand when to consume electricity, how to respond to grid conditions, and how to manage demand without disrupting operations.

Why it matters

Energy management is becoming an operating problem, not just a procurement problem. As grids add more renewables and demand rises from AI data centres and electrified industry, large power users need better tools for flexibility.
