Snaplii’s $15m round targets payments by AI shopping agents

What happened
Snaplii reportedly raised $15m from investors including Hat-Trick Capital for its prepaid wallet business. The wallet is designed for purchases initiated by AI agents.
Users can fund the wallet and set spending conditions, while purchases use codes rather than exposing the customer’s underlying card details.
Why it matters
Separating an agent’s spending permission from a general-purpose payment credential can help define the limits of a task. Those controls still need to be understandable to the person authorising the purchase.
The bigger picture
Agent payments depend on more than completing checkout. Customers need a clear record of what was authorised, what was bought and how a mistaken purchase can be resolved. The wallet is one part of that broader operating process.
