Snap passes 30m paid subscribers across multiple products
Snap's paid business is becoming a more substantial part of its consumer offering.

Snap's paid business is becoming a more substantial part of its consumer offering.
What happened
Snap reported more than 30 million paid subscribers in its 4 November investor disclosures. Its CEO described that total as spanning Snapchat+, Memories Storage and Lens+.
The combined figure should not be presented as Snapchat+ subscribers alone. It also does not disclose how many subscribers joined specifically for AI features.
Why it matters
Subscriptions provide a revenue stream alongside advertising. Paying for additional storage or creative features is a different customer behaviour from using a free social app, making the subscriber base worth tracking in its own right.
The bigger picture
The mix matters. A combined subscriber total does not explain the revenue contribution, retention or demand associated with each product. Assessing the commercial role of AI requires more than attaching all paid growth to features that happen to use it.
