Sling Raises $123M for Oral Thyroid Eye Drug
Sling Therapeutics has raised a $123 million Series C to advance an oral treatment for thyroid eye disease into Phase III.

Sling Therapeutics has raised $123 million to fund late-stage development of an oral treatment for thyroid eye disease.
What happened
The Series C was led by Forbion, with TPG Life Sciences Innovations and Sectoral Asset Management participating.
The capital will support the Phase III ORBIT trial of linsitinib, an oral IGF-1R inhibitor.
Why it matters
Existing therapies for thyroid eye disease are delivered through injection or infusion.
An effective oral alternative could improve treatment convenience and broaden adoption, but the programme still needs to demonstrate efficacy and safety in Phase III before it can compete commercially.
The bigger picture
Late-stage biotech financing remains selective, particularly for companies funding expensive pivotal trials.
Sling's round shows investors are still willing to back assets with a clear clinical endpoint and a differentiated delivery profile when the potential market is large enough.
