Siggy raises $6m for clinician-supervised mental healthcare
Village Global led financing for a service combining AI check-ins with licensed clinicians.

A short appointment can miss what happened during the weeks before it.
What happened
Siggy raised $6 million in pre-seed funding, led by Village Global, the startup told Crunchbase News on 5 November. Founded by Jonathan Sabbagh and Edvard Engesæth, it uses AI conversations and check-ins to gather information for clinicians to review between appointments.
Why it matters
The proposed role for AI is continuity: collecting and organising changes in symptoms or a patient's experience so that the next clinical conversation has more context. Licensed clinicians retain responsibility for treatment decisions.
The bigger picture
Collecting more information does not establish better care. The service still needs evidence on clinical usefulness, patient engagement and how reliably important changes reach a clinician. The funding supports development of the care model; it should not be presented as validation of medical outcomes or a replacement for professional treatment.
