Sierra acquires Anon to extend agents into logged-in websites
Anon brings browser and authentication technology to Sierra's enterprise agents.

A customer request can stall at a website login.
What happened
Sierra announced its acquisition of Anon on 5 November. Anon built technology that lets agents navigate websites, authenticate and complete actions through a browser, including where no API is available. The announcement did not disclose a purchase price.
Why it matters
APIs give software a structured way to work with another system. Without one, an agent may need to use the same pages and forms a person uses. Bringing that capability into Sierra could let its agents carry more customer tasks through to completion.
The bigger picture
The challenge is reliability: a changed page, expired session or unexpected prompt can interrupt the workflow. Authentication also brings sensitive information into the process. The acquisition adds relevant technology and expertise, but it does not establish that every browser-based task can now be handled securely or without supervision.
