Sequen raises $90M for real-time enterprise ranking
Sequen raised a $90M Series B to build a real-time ranking layer for commerce, media and other consumer-facing enterprise systems.

Recommendation systems are becoming more valuable as companies try to respond to what a user wants right now rather than relying only on historical behaviour.
What happened
Sequen raised an oversubscribed $90M Series B led by Prysm Capital, with White Star Capital and Threshold Ventures participating. The company also launched Recursive Ranking Intelligence, designed to rank products, content and other options dynamically during a user session.
Why it matters
Traditional recommendation engines often pre-compute rankings from past behaviour. Sequen is targeting a more immediate layer that adapts to current intent, which can directly affect conversion, engagement and monetisation for e-commerce, travel and media businesses.
The bigger picture
Ranking is becoming a general enterprise optimisation problem. The same technology used to order products or content can potentially extend into pricing, advertising, inventory and logistics, creating a broader decision layer beneath consumer-facing software.
