reebuild Raises €3M for Construction AI

Vienna-based reebuild has raised €3 million to automate the administrative work that connects construction projects, suppliers, invoices and financial controls.

What happened

The seed round was led by Fortino Ventures with participation from Rise PropTech and CuriosityVC. reebuild's platform extracts and organises information from invoices, delivery notes, order confirmations, photos and other records. It is designed to check bills against orders, track costs and connect procurement information with existing construction and property software. The company reports handling over €530 million in invoice volume for more than 120 construction and property businesses across over 8,200 projects. It also reports reducing selected invoice-processing tasks from more than 20 minutes to about three minutes. These are company-supplied adoption and efficiency figures, not independently audited results.

Why it matters

Construction projects generate large volumes of documents across subcontractors, sites and suppliers. Errors, duplicate entries and slow approvals can obscure project costs and create delays. Automating the flow of documentation into financial systems could improve visibility and free staff from routine reconciliation, particularly in a sector with fragmented technology stacks.

The bigger picture

AI applications in construction are increasingly targeting back-office systems rather than only architectural design. A platform connecting cost, procurement and project records could become valuable workflow infrastructure if it works reliably across different contractors. The challenge is handling exceptions, messy source data and legacy integrations without introducing financial errors.
