Reco Raises $55M for AI-Agent Security
Reco has raised another $55 million to map identities, applications and permissions as enterprises deploy more autonomous AI agents.

Reco has raised fresh capital as AI agents create a new enterprise security problem: organisations often do not know which autonomous systems exist or what those systems can access.
What happened
The company raised an additional $55 million, bringing total funding to $140 million.
AT&T Ventures participated alongside Forestay and Quadrille Capital.
Reco maps relationships between AI agents, applications, user identities, accounts and permissions.
The goal is to help security teams understand which systems have access to sensitive data and what actions they are allowed to perform.
Why it matters
Identity systems were built primarily around human employees and software applications.
Agents blur that distinction because they may act on behalf of a person while using multiple tools, credentials and data sources.
That makes traditional access controls harder to interpret.
If a security team cannot inventory its agents, it cannot reliably monitor or restrict them.
The bigger picture
Agent security is becoming a distinct cybersecurity category.
As enterprises move from experimental copilots toward autonomous systems, the attack surface expands from model prompts into credentials, tool access and cross-application permissions.
The companies that can provide visibility and control across those layers may become as important to agent deployment as identity platforms became to cloud adoption.
Reco's round reflects how quickly investors expect that market to grow.
