Ramp Launches in UK With AI Spend Tools
US spend-management company Ramp has launched in the UK, its first market outside North America, with tools that include tracking enterprise AI-token spending.

Ramp is taking its US spend-management playbook into one of Europe's most competitive fintech markets. The company has launched in the UK, its first expansion outside North America, with ElevenLabs among its initial customers.
What happened
Ramp's UK platform combines corporate cards, expenses, procurement, vendor management, travel and bookkeeping.
The launch follows Ramp's acquisition of Swedish payments infrastructure company Billhop, which helped expand its capabilities in Europe. One notable feature lets companies track AI-token spending by model, vendor and team alongside conventional software expenditure.
Why it matters
AI usage is becoming a meaningful enterprise cost category. Employees may consume models through multiple vendors, APIs and tools, making it difficult for finance teams to understand where spending is going.
Treating tokens and model usage like other controllable expenses gives finance departments a more granular way to manage AI adoption.
The bigger picture
Ramp enters a European market already populated by strong spend-management companies, so product differentiation will matter.
Its AI-cost controls illustrate how generative AI is creating new financial-management requirements inside ordinary businesses. As model usage shifts from experimentation to production, companies will increasingly need procurement, budgeting and compliance tools built specifically around compute and token consumption.
