QuantrolOx raises €12M for quantum-control software
QuantrolOx raises a €12 million Series A to automate the tuning and control of quantum processors.

What happened
Oxford University spinout QuantrolOx raised a €12 million Series A to expand software that tunes, characterises and controls quantum processors. The financing will support product development, work with additional hardware systems and commercial growth.
Why it matters
Quantum computers require extensive calibration before researchers can run useful workloads. That work consumes specialist time and becomes more difficult as systems grow. Automating control could make hardware more consistent while allowing scientists to focus on experiments rather than machine maintenance.
The bigger picture
A software and tooling market is forming around quantum hardware. Control systems, compilers and error-management tools may create value before fault-tolerant machines become widely useful. QuantrolOx’s opportunity depends on supporting enough hardware architectures to become shared infrastructure rather than a narrow feature.
