PreScalar raises $7M for factory software
Dynamo Ventures and BMW i Ventures co-lead PreScalar’s $7 million seed round for advanced manufacturing software.

What happened
PreScalar raised a $7 million seed round co-led by Dynamo Ventures and BMW i Ventures, with Blue Wire Capital, Uplift and Antler participating. The company is developing software for automated firmware testing, production data and software deployment across advanced factories.
Why it matters
A software fault found late in production can delay shipments and create expensive rework. Manufacturers need to connect engineering changes with test results and factory operations without building a separate internal system for every product. A shared platform could make failures easier to reproduce and releases easier to manage.
The bigger picture
Factories are becoming software environments, creating demand for developer-style tools adapted to physical production. PreScalar’s challenge is integration: industrial systems are specialised and slow to replace, so its platform must work with existing operations before it can improve them.
