Ocient raises $100m for AI analytics at petabyte scale
AI applications need to query large datasets without losing track of permissions or the evidence behind an answer.

What happened
Ocient closed a $100m Series C, co-led by BOKA Capital and OCA Ventures. The company said the round brings its total funding to $260m.
The money will support delivery of OcientAIQ solutions for customers working with large, changing datasets.
Why it matters
At petabyte scale, moving and preparing data can be expensive, while an agent’s answer still needs to reflect the right information. Database performance and governed access become important parts of making those applications useful.
The bigger picture
The investment backs the infrastructure around AI analysis. Ocient’s commercial progress will depend on customers finding the platform dependable and economical for their own workloads, rather than on a general increase in enthusiasm for agents.
