Nyquis raises $6.3m to monitor electricity grids
An early warning can give a utility more options.

Seeing a fault developing can be more useful than finding it after an outage.
What happened
Axios reported seed funding co-led by Gigascale Capital and South Park Commons on 5 November.
Why it matters
Electricity networks are large, distributed systems. Better information can help operators decide where to inspect, maintain or reinforce equipment, alongside investing in additional capacity.
The bigger picture
The commercial test for monitoring tools is whether the information changes a decision. A useful alert must arrive in time, distinguish a real issue from noise and fit the operator's workflow. Funding gives a team room to develop its product; measurable improvements in reliability or operating costs still need to be demonstrated.
