Nvidia Backs Simplismart in $14M Series B

Nvidia joins Simplismart's $14 million financing as demand grows for software that makes AI inference more efficient.

Nvidia Backs Simplismart in $14M Series B

Running AI models can become costly long after they are trained. Simplismart is raising capital to optimise what happens each time an application calls a model.

What happened

Bengaluru-based Simplismart raised $14 million in an all-primary Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital. Nvidia participated alongside Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax. The transaction values the company at approximately $100 million post-money.

Simplismart provides software that manages AI model deployment across cloud and on-premises hardware. It adjusts model serving configurations to balance latency, throughput and GPU consumption, and supports scaling and monitoring.

The company says its software helped InVideo cut GPU serving costs by 56% in a specific deployment. Customers also include AI video and enterprise software businesses. Its reported revenue run rate has grown rapidly, though that is not equivalent to contracted annual recurring revenue.

Why it matters

Inference economics shape margins for AI products used at high volume. Businesses need a suitable balance of speed and cost rather than the fastest possible output at any price.

Nvidia's investment is notable because software efficiency can reduce hardware requirements for a given workload. More affordable deployment may nevertheless expand overall usage of AI.

Customer results will vary according to model, demand pattern and infrastructure, and hyperscalers provide competing optimisation tools.

The bigger picture

AI infrastructure innovation increasingly includes software that extracts more value from existing chips. Simplismart illustrates this layer of the market, where performance engineering can become a commercial product rather than an internal operational task.
