NewSchool VC Closes €10M Debut Fund
NewSchool VC has closed a €10 million debut fund targeting early-stage B2B technology startups.

NewSchool VC has closed its first fund at €10 million, adding another small but highly active specialist investor to Europe's early-stage market.
What happened
The Belgian fund reached a €10 million final close after a €6.1 million first close last year.
The solo-GP vehicle writes cheques of roughly €100,000 to €500,000 into pre-seed and seed companies across B2B software, AI, cybersecurity, robotics and compliance.
It has already completed 32 investments, with around three-quarters of the portfolio based in Belgium.
Why it matters
Micro-VC funds cannot compete with larger firms on cheque size, but they can compete on speed, access and founder support.
At pre-seed, that can be enough to win attractive deals because founders often value rapid decisions and practical help more than the prestige of a large institutional platform.
A concentrated local network can also create information advantages in smaller European ecosystems that global funds do not cover deeply.
The bigger picture
Europe's venture market is becoming more layered. Large funds increasingly focus on bigger rounds, while operator angels and micro-VCs are filling the earliest financing gap. NewSchool's fund is small in absolute terms, but its high investment velocity shows how solo managers can become meaningful nodes in regional startup ecosystems without raising hundreds of millions.
