NEURA opens Munich robotics lab and unveils new humanoid
NEURA Robotics unveils 4NE1 Gen 4 and opens a €17 million training facility with the Technical University of Munich.

What happened
NEURA Robotics unveiled its 4NE1 Gen 4 humanoid and opened the 2,300-square-metre TUM RoboGym with the Technical University of Munich. Partners plan approximately €17 million of investment during an initial three-year period, including about €11 million from NEURA.
Why it matters
Robotics teams need expensive physical environments, equipment and data to train embodied-AI systems. Shared infrastructure can reduce those barriers and allow researchers and companies to test machines in more realistic settings. The project may also help connect academic work with commercial development.
The bigger picture
Europe has strong robotics research but competes with better-funded American and Asian companies. The facility is a concrete ecosystem investment that may matter more than another product demonstration. NEURA’s claims about the new humanoid’s capabilities remain company-reported and require independent evidence.
