NavVis Raises $85M for Physical AI

Physical AI needs reliable maps before it can act reliably.

What happened

NavVis raised an $85 million Series D led by The Jordan Company, with existing shareholders also participating.

The Munich-based company builds spatial data and digital-twin infrastructure for factories, construction sites and industrial assets. Its tools help capture and manage real-world spaces as structured digital environments.

Why it matters

Robots and industrial AI systems cannot operate well if they do not understand the physical spaces around them. That makes spatial data a foundational layer for physical AI.

NavVis is not building the robot itself. It is building the map, context and data infrastructure that can help robots, operators and industrial software understand real-world assets.

The bigger picture

The physical AI stack is broader than humanoids or warehouse robots. It includes sensors, simulation, mapping, digital twins, data capture, maintenance workflows and deployment infrastructure.

NavVis’ round shows that investors are backing the upstream data layer that makes physical automation more practical.
