Navan buys BoomPop to expand AI-powered business travel
Navan acquired corporate-events startup BoomPop as it expands from travel and expense management into AI-assisted event planning.

Navan is widening its business-travel stack by bringing corporate events into the same operating system.
What happened
Navan acquired BoomPop, an AI-powered corporate-events platform founded in 2023. BoomPop automates tasks including venue sourcing, room blocks, vendor coordination, contracts and payments. The transaction was reported as potentially worth up to $95 million.
Why it matters
Corporate travel, expense management and events have historically been handled across separate tools and service providers. Bringing them together gives Navan more control over the full workflow while AI reduces the manual coordination involved in planning large events.
The bigger picture
Enterprise software platforms are increasingly using AI and acquisitions together: software consolidates the workflow, while automation makes the combined product more efficient than the fragmented systems it replaces.
