Natural raises $30M for AI agent payments
Natural has raised a $30M Series A to build wallets, transfers and payment infrastructure designed specifically for software agents.

AI agents can already research products and recommend purchases. Giving them permission to move money creates a much harder infrastructure problem.
What happened
Natural raised a $30M Series A led by Forerunner, bringing its total funding to more than $40M.
The company is developing payment infrastructure for software agents, including wallets, transfers, payment requests, account connectivity and observability tools. Six products are currently live, while cards, processing, credit and usage-based billing are planned.
Natural is positioning itself as the financial layer that allows agents to transact while preserving controls over identity, authorisation and monitoring.
Why it matters
Traditional payment systems assume a person or registered business initiates a transaction. An autonomous agent introduces new questions: who approved the payment, which limits apply, how fraud is detected and how every action can be audited afterward.
Those requirements are difficult to solve with a simple interface placed on top of a consumer wallet.
The bigger picture
Agentic commerce may create a new category of financial infrastructure. The opportunity is not only allowing machines to pay, but giving businesses enough control to trust them with budgets and purchasing authority.
Natural’s round suggests investors expect payment providers, banks and software platforms to redesign parts of the financial stack around non-human users acting on behalf of people and companies.
