Naboo Acquires UK Events Specialist pro-ven

French event technology scaleup Naboo acquires British corporate meetings specialist pro-ven to expand UK operations.

Naboo Acquires UK Events Specialist pro-ven

Naboo is expanding its events software business by acquiring an established UK service provider, combining automation with industry relationships.

What happened

Paris-based Naboo acquired pro-ven, a UK specialist in corporate meetings and events procurement. The acquired business will operate as Naboo UK, with its existing leadership continuing in the business.

Naboo provides software for venue sourcing, event management, supplier comparisons, contracting, payments and spend oversight. It is developing AI-assisted workflows to automate administrative activities that traditionally involve extensive manual coordination.

The combined business says it now handles around €269 million in meetings and events activity internationally. The acquisition follows Naboo's earlier €58.7 million Series B, which should not be confused with new financing announced as part of the transaction.

The consideration for pro-ven was not publicly disclosed.

Why it matters

Corporate meetings and events remain a fragmented category of business expenditure, involving many suppliers and approval processes. Automation can potentially reduce procurement time and improve cost visibility.

Acquiring pro-ven gives Naboo experienced staff and established customer relationships in the UK. Yet integrating a service-led operator with a software platform creates execution risks around workflows, quality and customer experience.

The bigger picture

AI-enabled software businesses are increasingly exploring acquisitions as a way to digitise traditional services. The premise is not simply to replace people, but to shift repetitive administrative work into software while preserving expertise in complex customer relationships. Naboo offers another test of that acquisition-and-automation strategy.
