N-Power Medicine is working on one of clinical research’s hardest problems: making cancer trials faster without weakening the evidence behind them.
What happened
N-Power Medicine closed a $32M Series B to expand its community oncology network and accelerate adoption of its Prospective External Control Arms platform.
The round included strategic participation from Labcorp Venture Fund, alongside Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Innovatus Capital Partners and a US-based biotech investor.
The company is building infrastructure around oncology trial design and real-world evidence. Its platform focuses on prospective external control arms, which can use carefully structured real-world patient data to support clinical studies where traditional control groups may be difficult, slow or ethically complicated.
It also works through community oncology settings, where many cancer patients receive care but where clinical trial access has historically been limited.
Why it matters
This is a strong life-sciences infrastructure item.
Cancer trials are expensive and slow, partly because recruiting patients, designing control arms and collecting consistent data are hard. If more trial activity can connect to community oncology networks, research could become more representative and less dependent on a narrow set of large academic centres.
External control arms are not a shortcut; they need careful methodology and regulatory trust. But when designed properly, they can reduce friction in trial execution and help sponsors generate evidence more efficiently.
