MuRay secures €7.1 million for industrial imaging
Some of the most important defects are hidden inside components that are difficult to inspect.

What happened
MuRay secured €7.1 million, comprising €3.5 million in private investment and €3.6 million in non-dilutive public funding. The financing supports active muon imaging for dense industrial components. An initial industrial imaging service is planned for 2027.
Why it matters
Better inspection could support maintenance and reuse of expensive components in aerospace, defence and energy. Planned services remain future milestones rather than evidence of an established commercial deployment.
The bigger picture
Deeptech commercialisation often depends on turning specialist equipment into a service customers can access. Reliability, inspection economics and integration with existing maintenance processes will matter.
