Modulate Raises $25M for Voice Intelligence
Modulate raises new funding for voice-analysis models used in fraud detection, synthetic-voice detection and agent monitoring.

Modulate is raising funding for a less glamorous but increasingly important part of the voice-AI stack: understanding and policing voice interactions.
What happened
The Boston-based company raised $25 million, led by Future Ventures with participation from Hyperplane and Lakestar.
Modulate does not focus only on speech generation. Its platform runs more than 100 smaller models for transcription, emotion and intent analysis, synthetic-voice detection, deepfake detection and compliance monitoring.
The technology is already used around call centres and AI voice agents.
Why it matters
Voice AI creates a parallel market for trust and monitoring.
As synthetic voices improve, enterprises need tools that can detect fraud, monitor agent behaviour and understand whether customer interactions actually succeeded.
That need becomes more urgent as companies deploy voice agents into support, sales, financial services and other sensitive workflows.
The bigger picture
The voice-AI market is not only about generating realistic speech.
The more realistic and autonomous voice agents become, the more companies will need infrastructure for detection, quality control, compliance and safety. Modulate sits in that defensive and analytical layer of the voice stack.
