Telecom software provider Mobilise launched Mobilise Platforms & Investments, a new investment arm for specialist telecom technology businesses.
The vehicle will target areas such as BSS/OSS, MVNE, eSIM, connectivity, roaming and interconnect software. Instead of acting like a broad venture fund, Mobilise appears to be building around the software layers it already understands.
Why it matters
Telecom technology is full of niche systems that are business-critical but not always venture-glamorous. Billing, provisioning, roaming, connectivity management and eSIM infrastructure are all essential pieces of the telecom stack.
A strategic investment arm can make sense here because the buyer has domain expertise, customer relationships and a clearer view of which products are actually needed by operators.
