Metris Raises €4.35M for Renewable Energy AI
Metris Energy has raised €4.35 million to scale AI software for managing renewable-energy assets.

Metris Energy has raised new funding for a less visible part of the renewable-energy market: operating assets efficiently after they have already been built.
What happened
The London-based company raised a €4.35 million ($5 million) seed round led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU and Blackfinch Ventures, with Plug and Play and Love Ventures also participating.
Metris also launched Metria AI, an interface designed to automate operational tasks for renewable-energy asset managers.
The company says its platform already manages more than 10,000 solar installations representing around 500MW and plans to expand into wind and combined heat-and-power assets.
Why it matters
Renewable portfolios generate huge volumes of operational, financial and market data.
Asset managers need to track performance, maintenance, contracts and revenue across many distributed sites. That work is often fragmented across spreadsheets and specialist systems.
AI agents could automate parts of that coordination, improving margins without changing the physical assets themselves.
The bigger picture
Climate technology is increasingly about software as well as hardware. Once solar, storage and wind assets are deployed at scale, the next opportunity is operating them more intelligently. Metris is targeting that recurring operational layer, where even small efficiency improvements can become meaningful across large portfolios of infrastructure.
