Meta Brings Muse Agent to Small Businesses

Meta expands Muse into a broader operating assistant connected to sales, marketing and business software.

Meta Brings Muse Agent to Small Businesses

Meta is taking its enterprise AI push deeper into the small-business market with an agent designed to sit across multiple operational tools.

What happened

Meta expanded Muse to small businesses and connected it with products including Shopify, Slack, QuickBooks, Stripe, Notion, Figma, Canva, Dropbox and Zoom, alongside Facebook, Instagram and Meta advertising data.

A limited version is available for free, while higher usage levels are tied to paid subscriptions.

The goal is to give businesses one assistant that can reason across marketing, commerce, communications and operational data rather than remain confined to a single application.

Why it matters

Small companies often operate through a fragmented stack of SaaS tools without dedicated operations teams. An agent that can understand context across those systems could become valuable if it can reduce repetitive work or coordinate tasks across applications.

For Meta, it also creates a route into business software beyond advertising.

The bigger picture

Enterprise AI is shifting from standalone chatbots toward agents that need access to multiple data sources and tools.

The competitive advantage may increasingly come from distribution and integrations rather than model quality alone. Meta already has deep relationships with small businesses through advertising and commerce, which gives Muse a potentially useful wedge into this market.
