Meta Launches Enterprise AI Platform
Meta launches a new enterprise AI platform and hires MongoDB's CEO to lead its corporate AI push.

Meta is making a more direct move into enterprise software, expanding beyond its traditional advertising-led relationship with businesses.
What happened
Meta launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business focused on selling its AI stack to corporate customers and developers.
The company hired Chirantan “CJ” Desai, previously MongoDB's chief executive, to lead the initiative. The platform is expected to bring together products including Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code.
The move gives Meta a clearer route into enterprise AI revenue.
Why it matters
Meta has powerful AI research, distribution and open-model credibility, but it has historically monetised businesses mostly through advertising.
An enterprise platform puts it into more direct competition with companies selling AI tools and infrastructure to corporate customers. Leadership from a major enterprise-software company also signals that Meta wants this to be a serious business line, not a side experiment.
The bigger picture
The enterprise AI market is becoming crowded and strategically important.
Big technology companies are racing to provide the models, agents, APIs and workplace tools that businesses will standardise around. Meta's push suggests it wants to be a platform provider, not just a consumer AI company.
