Meta Brings Muse Agent to Mac
Meta has launched a Mac version of Muse, giving its consumer AI agent access to desktop files, calendars, messages and applications.

Meta is bringing its Muse agent onto the desktop, where AI assistants can access far more useful context than they can inside a standalone chat window.
What happened
The company launched a Mac version of Muse, its consumer AI agent.
On desktop, Muse can interact with files, messages, calendars, notes and email inside native applications, subject to user permissions and approval for sensitive actions.
The release follows Muse's earlier mobile and web rollout.
Why it matters
Consumer agents become much more useful when they can act across the applications people already use.
Desktop access gives a model visibility into documents, schedules and communication workflows, allowing it to complete tasks rather than simply answer questions. At the same time, that broader access increases the importance of permission controls and user oversight.
The bigger picture
The consumer AI market is moving toward an operating layer that sits across existing software. OpenAI, Google, Meta and others are increasingly competing on who can connect models to the most useful personal context and actions. The winner may be determined as much by integrations and trust as by raw model capability.
