Medallion Acquires Credentialing Rival Andros
Healthcare operations platform Medallion has acquired Andros, combining credentialing and provider-network workflows across more than one million providers.

Provider credentialing is one of healthcare's least glamorous but most operationally critical workflows. Medallion has acquired Andros to expand its footprint across provider data, enrollment and network management.
What happened
The financial terms were not disclosed. The combined businesses cover more than one million healthcare providers across nearly 400 organisations and health plans.
Medallion automates administrative workflows around licensing, credentialing and enrollment, while Andros adds provider-network management and additional credentialing capabilities.
Why it matters
Hospitals, health plans and digital-health companies must verify that clinicians are properly licensed and qualified before they can deliver care or receive reimbursement.
Much of that process is still fragmented across forms, databases and manual checks. Consolidating provider data into one operational layer creates more room for automation and reduces duplication across organisations.
The bigger picture
Healthcare AI is increasingly moving into administrative infrastructure rather than only diagnosis or patient-facing chatbots.
Provider operations are particularly attractive because the workflows are repetitive, regulated and data-heavy. By combining two large credentialing datasets and customer bases, Medallion can potentially train better automation systems while making its platform harder for smaller point solutions to displace.
