Maxinsights raises $30M for physical AI training data
Maxinsights raised a $30 million seed round and introduced tools for improving the quality and depth of real-world robot-training data.

Maxinsights has raised $30 million to expand its data infrastructure for physical AI and robotics.
What happened
The seed round was led by Peak XV, with participation from Tola Capital, South Park Commons, INCE Capital and Alumni Ventures.
Alongside the funding, Maxinsights introduced MaxLoop, which checks incoming recordings for quality and usability. It is also developing MaxGlove with Genesis AI to capture grip force and object weight, information that ordinary video cannot reliably provide.
Why it matters
Robots need large volumes of varied, real-world demonstrations to learn useful physical skills. Video can show movement, but it often misses contact, pressure and force.
Combining visual recordings with tactile information could produce more useful training data for robot foundation models.
The bigger picture
Physical AI is creating a new infrastructure market around data collection, annotation and quality control. The companies that organise real-world experience into reliable training datasets could become important suppliers to the wider robotics industry.
