MAVI Emerges With $4M for AI-Era Accountants
MAVI launches a marketplace connecting companies with finance and accounting professionals trained to work with AI tools.

MAVI is betting that AI will change accounting work rather than simply eliminate it.
What happened
The company emerged from stealth with a marketplace connecting US companies to global mid- and senior-level finance and accounting professionals trained to work with AI tools.
It also disclosed a previously unannounced $4 million seed round led by Harlem Capital.
MAVI says more than 3,000 accounting professionals are already on its platform.
Why it matters
A common view of AI in accounting is that automation will remove junior tasks. MAVI's thesis is different: as routine work is automated, companies may need more experienced professionals who can supervise AI outputs, manage judgement-heavy workflows and operate AI-native finance processes.
That positions the company as both a labour-market platform and an AI-adoption bet.
The bigger picture
AI may reshape professional-services work unevenly.
Some tasks will be automated, but demand could grow for people who know how to review, manage and apply AI-generated work in regulated or accuracy-sensitive domains. MAVI is building around that middle ground.
