Marti and Tensor bring robotaxi ambitions to Türkiye
Marti’s Tensor partnership shows robotaxi deployment is becoming more local, platform-led and city-by-city.

Robotaxi expansion is no longer only a U.S. or China story. More markets are starting to test whether autonomous vehicles can plug into existing mobility platforms.
What happened
Türkiye mobility app Marti announced a multi-year partnership with Tensor to purchase and deploy autonomous vehicles on Marti’s platform in Turkish cities.
The plan is for users to eventually be able to hail Tensor vehicles directly through Marti’s app.
Why it matters
This is a useful mobility signal because robotaxi deployment depends heavily on local distribution.
Autonomous vehicle companies need more than vehicles and software. They also need city access, consumer demand, local operations and a platform that people already use.
The bigger picture
Autonomy is becoming a city-by-city infrastructure market.
Instead of one company simply launching everywhere, the likely path is partnerships between AV developers and local mobility platforms. Marti and Tensor’s plan fits that shift.
