Manus Seeks $500M at $4B Valuation

Manus is reportedly back in the fundraising market as an independent AI-agent company, with investors discussing another large financing.

What happened

The company is reportedly in discussions to raise $500 million at a $4 billion valuation. Potential investors are said to include IDG Capital, Boyu Capital and CATL, alongside existing backers Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund.

Manus has also reportedly considered restructuring ahead of a possible Hong Kong listing.

The financing has not been announced as completed, so the amount, valuation and investor group remain subject to change.

Why it matters

General-purpose AI agents have become one of the most competitive segments in AI. The category is crowded, but Manus has already attracted global attention by positioning its product as software that can execute multi-step tasks rather than simply answer prompts.

A multibillion-dollar valuation would show that investors still believe standalone agent companies can build defensible businesses even as model providers add similar capabilities directly into their platforms.

The bigger picture

The next phase of enterprise AI is moving from generation toward action. That creates opportunities around orchestration, permissions, memory and workflow execution, but also increases pressure on agent startups to prove they can maintain an edge over foundation-model companies. Manus' reported round would be another high-profile test of that thesis.
