Magentic Raises $18M for Industrial AI Agents
Magentic has raised an $18 million Series A to automate industrial procurement and supply-chain workflows with AI agents.

Magentic has raised an $18 million Series A to bring AI agents into the fragmented workflows of industrial companies.
What happened
The round was led by Felicis, with Sequoia Capital and The Westly Group participating.
Magentic builds AI-powered digital workers for industrial businesses, initially focusing on procurement and supply-chain processes. Its agents are designed to operate through tools employees already use, including Microsoft Teams, email and internal enterprise systems.
Why it matters
Industrial companies often run on a mix of legacy software, spreadsheets, emails and human approvals. Replacing those systems outright can be expensive and disruptive.
Agentic software offers a different route: operate across the existing stack and automate the coordination work between systems. That could make AI adoption easier in industries where modernisation has historically been slow.
The bigger picture
One of the biggest enterprise AI opportunities may be in sectors with the least elegant software. Industrial workflows are complex, high-value and full of manual handoffs, making them natural targets for agents capable of navigating multiple systems. Magentic's funding reflects growing investor interest in AI that acts inside real operational processes rather than only generating content.
